Any one of those tire compounds may work; I lean towards the Sorex 36's though. If your rear-end is still wash'n out a bit, try a tad more rear droop. -JB

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go from here to resolve these issues? I suspect the push is almost all caused by the spool but the rear traction issue is a big concern. As far as tires, I was using CS-27's.
Matts set up was for a one-way, try changing your shock positions on the tower. Position both front and rear shock in the second hole from the outside on the tower. If the car pushes too much add a light rear sway-bar, sometimes it takes away a push, sometimes it will give you more traction?

This is just a thought but as the BD has the holes drilled out for the split type suspension mounts, could the ones from the SDW be put on the car so that you can run short arms on the front?

just a little info post,, it is said the the shaft drive cars are better for stock and belt drive cars are better for mod. this past weekend i ran stock with my SDW and my BD back to back with the same tires, and i mean same tires, i didn't use the same setup on both cars as they like different things, and i used the same body. with the BD i was able to carry more corner speed, hold my lines more consistantly, and drive deeper into the corners. with all that said, let me also say, this was on a very large nicely flowing pavement track. shorter track, tighter turns maybe the sdw will shine again as it as in the past.
anyway, just thought i would post that in case anyones been holding off on trying the bd in stock,
i also did some testing with spur gear sizes. ran a few laps with a 114/38 64 pitch gear set, thats a 6.0 gear ratio. then ran a 72/24 48 pitch gear set which is also a 6.0 gear ratio. the car reacted better and was quicker with the 72/24 combo. i think i read this early in this thread from johnbull about using a 116 in mod and 100 in stock, imo it seems for stock the small spur does work better.

i was testing the BD now quite for a while, but I always have too less turn in steering, no matter what I change on the Setup.

What shall I do? I have ordered the inline steering knuckles, but I'm not sure if this will cure (I hope this word is right :-) ) my problem.

Here is my actual Setup. The track is a pretty tight 220m long track with not that much grip. Motors are 27T and 12T but I don't have enough steering with both.

i see you are not running any sway bar... so i would try to add a
sway bar up front first... turn in should be a bit quicker.... then try add a
sway bar in the rear without the front one on.... see if you like those feeling..

Swaybars are not my most favourit
swaybar in the front takes away much too much grip

Perhaps you can try playing with the ackerman positions?
Alternatively you could put back the original suspension mount shims.........
