THOSE I might be interested in!

Q for Brian or Jason...are the larger od bearings easy to source? I've never looked.

**EDIT** NM, I just checked the Boca site, several grades to choose from. Might be a winner idea to stock a couple different grades to sell with the adjusters Jason.

At some point, does it make sense to lower the axle slot in the rear pods so that we are not using only #1 &#4's or #3.0 & #3.5? I guess where I am going with this is.... ta da.... mold up some ride blocks that will take the 1/4 x 1/2's. I think that I spent $17 a bearing at Boca for that ceramic that lasted 2 years. And these bearings got used a couple a times a week for 6 months during regular season. I know as Slapmaster Tools, I wont do anything with this idea... only because the car guys have to change the rear bulkheads first.

****** Anouncement*******

Slapmaster Tools will have foam bumpers for the DB12R to help protect our investment! I have a proto-type on my ride, I took a hit last week that should have required a dust pan to clean up. I wiped the black mark off of the body and I would have never known differently. No body dents from the chassis, no post hole earthquakes, the front end was still on the car and they weigh only 2 grams. Jason has expressed interest in carrying the bumper at his shop as well. I should have the bumpers today. I should be able to get Jason a batch late next week (if all goes well). I have a 3 day event that I will be attending within the hour and will not be around to answer any more questions. SMT #115 DB12R Foam Bumper, $7.

1/10th oval cars use the same rear pods and ride hight adjusters as we do in 1/12th but they flip the cams so the axles are high. They do this to get low ride height with 1/10th wheels.

Oh...and get a bumper to Jason ASAP! He keeps punching chassis shaped holes in Kropy's awesome painted bodies...lol!

Dang it, bumpers were a no show today! That throws a little wrench into my plans of selling out of them this weekend.

I hate to say this, but its been a struggle with the DB12R today. Probably for a couple of reasons. The track layout has been changed plus the direction! Not only do we need to groove up a new line, we need to get the carpet fibers laying the right direction. I threw a lot of tires at the car today and came up with various degrees of fast, but only for a few minutes. The Yellow Black yeilded an 8 minute car, but likely at the expense of the lap times. I am hopeful that we'll get back on the yellow lilac's by mid day Sat. We have set up a mini BMI DB12R team inside SIR with 7 cars/drivers. We are bouncing ideas and set up successes and failures to all. Hopefully as a group, we'll cover the A Main. If you are interested in following the results of the race, go to the Northwest Racers section and look up results under the NWIC or SIR threads.

Big bearings.... see Jason.... maybe I'm not nuts after all!

Jason, will do. I think that Brad has you on speed dial. In the meantime, all cars seem to be fast for 3-6 minutes depending on tire combo and then go into push mode, adding about 1.5 seconds per lap or loosing all forward bite. Door open in just over an hour which should only have about an hour & half of practice. Can you say: Power Test?
