This may be a dumb question...but here it goes anyhow... I just purchased the thicker(wider) 1.5mm hex for the rear of my 22 SCT. Since this maxes out the rear do I put wider hexes on the front as well??? Note: I am using the stock 22 SCT rims with stock offset...thanks

The front is pretty much max width alreadys. You can put the buggy +1.5 hexs on the front to get a little more width but it is not much.

I saw that coming!!!
when I build my 22sct, I noticed they put in those two aluminum ?sleeves? with the plastic spacers. I looked at it, and was curious how long it would be.

Would you say that it is better than stock? I don't want to modify the cover so I'm looking for something better than stock.

That looks very interesting! hard to really see much from the pic, but it looks like they made bellcranks and used a piece of Carbon fiber to connect the two bellcranks together as well as mount the ball studs to. Very interested in seeing how it works in person.
This is a sticky question my personal answer would be yes. But let me add the caveat, I'm not a great diff/slipper builder/setter. Infact i'm pretty bad at it but I'm getting better. I know of many people who've used the stock slipper with no problems, so some will probably say no need. But for me personally, I've glazed several stock pads in my RCRD 22T to 22SCT conversion (before the real thing came out) a ton of times and could never really get it to set correctly with the 6.5T motor I was running. Eventually went to the Avid slipper. So once I bought my REAL TLR 22sct, I never even installed the stock one and went straight to the Avid. A week later, I went to the Associated VTS slipper and feel it is the easiest to set up, due to all the surface area I feel it grabs really well and you don't have to crank it down super hard like you do the stock ones and as an added bonus, the pads fit into a clutch-basket, so changing the pads is the easiest I've ever done, you don't have to hold them into a groove or notches and hope they don't slip out as you slide the entire spur gear up the shaft lol it's honestly one of the best mods I've done in my opinion and super easy for maintenance as well. What I'd suggest about modding the cover is to maybe get some closed cell foam and make a gasket around the edge to use as a spacer so you don't have to cut the cover at all, kinda like this pic below.

Go to the 22 Buggy thread it is being tested out right now by a company called Akula Racing in the UK.

Check their site they make a cool looking CF chassis for the buggy/

I had heard that TLR was working on something like this but do not know it to be true just talk. I know non of the TLR guys here would be able to comment if they were.

I am at 26/78 blinky 17.5. viper vst 17.5 @35* static. i am going to try moving up to 40* next time I am at the track.

Thanks I am running the 78/21 now but feel like I can step it up some. I am running the D3 13.5 with endbell up halfway. Another issue I have is I have the avid slipper but only have 75T, 81T, 84T spurs right now and was looking to use them so I don't have to wait for another order.
