What set ups are people running on low/med bite outdoor tracks? Is the box set up any good?

Yes- this will make center diff access so much easier. Testing and developing this for quite some time with the design based on my XB4 experience.

Ordered a d413 was wondering what size motor I should run? I will be using it to race on a med size in door clay track. Also was wondering if I should get a extended chassis. And if so should I get aluminum or carbon chassis? Thanks in advance.

6.5 extended and carbon my opinion. 5.5 I love but a 6.5 seems best smaller track. Aluminum chassis seems little to heavy for me .

I have not used the extended chassis yet but between the Avid aluminum and carbon they both have their purpose. The aluminum extra weight on higher bite clay tracks noticeably settled the chassis more and made the car more stable to drive hard. Carbon fiber outdoor loose dirt dominated with alowing the car to be driven harder and find better traction around the track. More forgiveness jumping and powering through low bite corners. Low bite I dont feel the longer chassis would help much but high bite yes.

A 6.5t motor and the Exotek Chassis would be a great combination! I tested the Exotek chassis for them and it worked excellent on a track just like you described. It also performed very well on outdoor tracks with less grip.

You must use the little set screw in the motor mount. I know someone who went thru 3 spur gears in a day due to not using the little set screw.

Maybe a new motor plate design will be the next thing Exotek can fix for us. I think AE has one of the better designs. IMO
