Anyone know if the diff shims are available yet? i looked up the part # in the breakdown and come up with nothing. Is there shims out that will work? talking about the shims for ring and pinion spacing.

The old mamba max should handle it just fine. Worst case is if it runs hot you can always just slap a 30mm fan on top and it will be good to go. Probably wouldn't even need it. Those green mambas are pretty stout. I used to run 1/8 buggies on that ESC.

I'm running an RX8/Pro4 4000 indoor and am in the process of setting up a second truck for outdoor using RX8/SC4X 4.5. Some of the RX8 setups on the Tekin sight reference a 42t spur. What spur is being used for this? Something from the 8ight? Part# would be great if anyone has it.

I prefer to do it the same way the 8ights are done. Shimming the diff is easier then shimming the pinion specially out in the field. I found and picked up some 12x18mm HPI shims at the LHS and installed them today and they are perfect. Part number is Z897. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?FVSEARCH=Z897

But seriously we will have the game on at the track under the trees and on in my trailer.

And I for sure will have my GAME ON on the track. This Sunday could have the most Losi's ever.
im ready to run on the new layout and set the lap record. I shouldnt have to worry about making the main now with the new motor.

I am running that exact setup in mine with a fan mounted on the esc. We run 5 min races the temps are 115 on esc and the highest on the motor was around 150 with a 16 or 18 cant remember which 1. With 2s lipo.

Funny I called them yesterday and the person I spoke with had no idea about any change made to the part or any revision period. He said he didnt think they were doing anything about the issue and didnt think there was an issue. Claimed he would call me back once he asked "someone". Never received a call as of yet.
