Yes, It was here;
Particularly through the 'S' bend before the main straight. Bit difficult to see. As mentioned by others, it was generally under braking for the tighter turns.

has anybody had problems getting enough slack out of the gear diff in the rear. I measured the gear diff 1.402" and the ball diff 1.385" on the teeth. so the problem I have been having is the rear belt being too tight with the gear diff and not being able to be happy about the tention on the belt even with the bearing holder notch being all the way back. which negates the effects of the diff high vs low which effects the handling condition that I was looking for. and it's not a new belt so I can only imagine how bad it would be if I had a new belt.

Then I remembered back when I had the T2 009 forward motor conversion I needed part 302077 eccenter to get the belt to sit correctly. I fitted them to the T3 and it gave perfect tension for high and low position.

It could easily be two tenths with a change like that. There's been some very well informed recent posts here. Battery (weight) forward is really smooth, lots of on power steering, rearward gives more pendulum effect rotation, and forward bite. But is usually harder to drive. Depends on what suits you or the layout.

Yes the connector end is a lot lighter than the other end. If you open a pack and look the cells are pushed away from the bullets. The bullets are soldered onto the tabs of the cells. So if you look at the back side of the bullets (toward the middle of the pack) that is where the cells actually stop and the bullets are attached. The cells dont go any further toward the bullet end. It makes even a bigger difference in a 12th scale as they are the same way.
Its a tuning thing that PL and a few others use when they are looking for something smaller than a shock/spring/camber change.

hi all,
i'm looking to upgrade my '11 to the 2012 spec, and have read through the commentary regarding the thinner flex chassis upgrades from xray, smokem', VBC etc.
typically i run on low-medium grip asphalt here in sydney.
before i go out and spend the coin,would the advice be to go straight to the 1.6 / 2mm flex option from xray or stick with the kit chassis? aside from a lack of turn-in (which apparently the 12 spec is an improvement on), the 11 spec goes ok so i would rather not spend the extra coin if i'm not going to be happy with the upgrade.
looking forward to your thoughts.

I have found that running the 1.6mm top deck on my car has helped with performance very slightly over the standard top deck, this is on medium/low grip asphalt.
Some of the guys that have switched to the 2mm chassis have said the car is more predictable and easy to drive when combined with the standard 2mm top deck.
Any extra flex you create in the car with the chassis or top deck is going to reduce corner speed slightly as some of the energy is being absorbed through the flexing of the chassis instead of being passed through the suspension into the tyres.
