Most people seem modify it to accept a turnbuckle. I'm not sure why Losi didn't provide a easier solution. Here is one option:

USVTA gearing for Type R
Hi All,
What's the magic gearing combo for a LiPO / 21.5 / JRXS 1.83 tranny for USVTA (assuming track is large enough that you want the max 4.2 FDR)?
I started to work the math...... I saw a 115 spur & 44 pinion would be almost dead nuts on, then realized that nobody makes a 115 spur (I don't think)
So, I'm opting to see if anybody already went through this???

Go with the 118 spur, its just easier

Joel covered most of the stuffs there...
For the ballstuds you will see the lenght of the shaft between the shoulder and the ball is different by .030

Just curious, but has anybody noticed how unmatched the c hubs are? I had to go through 3 packs of 6 degree blocks to find two that were even close to being drilled the same.
