PM me with the steps you have taken and I will help you resolve your problem. Even with Novak's standard repair, upgrade replacement price, the cost would be $35 (replacement) + $10 (upgrade to different product).
Novak will help you resolve your issue, but you seem to believe that purchasing the wrong product is somehow Novak's fault.

Spread Spectrum Optimized GTB
It may be just my LCD screen but it looks as if the Spread Spectrum Optimized GTB (#1711) ESC has a blue heat sink on the Novak website picture.
I just got one recently and, to my surprise, it had the same purple heatsink as the regular GTB. I thought maybe Novak was trying to identify the Spectrum model with a blue heatsink.
If it is infact suposed to be blue, can I get a replacement one since mine is purple? I'm not really a big fan of purple (sorry, no offense to HPI and Schumacher)
Just thought I'd ask......otherwise GREAT product as always! I've always run Novak since my first N-4 ESC !!!!

I have tried the bonded/sintered 13.5 in a mid size carpet track with my Schumahcer....here is the breakdown
Bonded rotor.....5.5 FDR is the cutoff (at least for me)..thermalled around 4 minutes mark
Changed to sintered....I ran out of spur and pinion...but I know you can gear it to the moon (4.0 FDR) cause the Mi3 that ran with me was running 114/42 (4.89 FDR) and he was asking me to see I have a 46 pinion.
I have tried my TA05R with 93/40 (5.23) car is slow as hell....but I cannot gear it higher cause they don't have 88 spur and 50 pinion....nor I dont' think I can mount a 88 spur on my Ta05R...LOL

I've gone with a 48 pitch set-up with a 34x75 and my parnter has gone to a 72x34.We both drive RDX and presently going to the 64 pitch 88 spur with 40-46 pinions. That is until we get the new Corally. If you run the bonded rotor you will probably thermo before the end of a race. The sintered rotor fits right in and that's when the fun begins with the gear ratios. Still running the prototype 13.5 that Novak sent me a year ago to test. All I've done is swapped the rotor and put the bigger bearing in. All our racing has been done outdoors in florida.

As I said, Novak's customer service has a special program, during a transistion period, for customers who have just purchased a recently upgraded item. Have you contacted CS with your purchase information and special situation?

It is my fault, I just wish i had done research first, or Novak should have a program where a customer can send their old ss13.5 in for the new one. You have a PM I hope you can help me in anyways!
