seems like thats the best fix yet, could you tell us how everything went back together. ie: did the tranny sit nice and flush and did you need to make that rb5 piece thinner?

Great t plate it is. Can we move on now.

Have anyone compared the rb5 front hex with the 6 hexes to see the difference in performance?

Very nice fit and flush it fills the void area perfect . Also weighs next to nothing . You don't need to trim the bottom just the sides and front and back .

It didn't raise the transmission at all and it still sits flush to the chassis? That means the gap there is far larger than I thought.

Yeah perfect fit . The bottom of the trans wasn't even touching the bottom of the chassis . That would explain all the caving in of the chassis . I have a race Sunday see how well it performs . Should be just fine thou .

For those ball studs that have the short thread length go get some that are longer. Guys on here were saying the short threaded ones were pulling out where they are used. The only exception is the steering rack as those seem to be fine.

Yup, use longer ones in the c-hubs. Order an alum steering link too... http://www.exotekracing.com/rb6-alloy-steering-rack/
