The end result is pretty much the same though, so why should one performance enhancing technology be allowed over another.

Correct. In the 17.5 classes and trans am those are out as well. 13.5, 12th and wgt anything goes.

Maybe Randy and the guys at Tekin can take this suggestion for the 203 revision and possibly look at putting the relevant adjustments under there function ie:
adjustments for boost within a Boost heading/window in the GUI and like wise for Turbo
That way the guys would know the function/setting is only for boost or turbo and less confusion would prevail.
Key to the software being understood better is a better interface which i believe they are working on.

maybe instead think telemetry or onboard datalogging to determing max rpm in the infield and back straight?

I'm guessing the Redline motors or Duo's would still be the better choice to fully exploit the potential of v203
I ran the X12 10.5 indoors with 40 timing and it still came off at 52degC (125degF), never run 13.5 but the 10.5's seem fine provided you calmly experiment with timign etc.

Ditto... as a technology worker I know, the value of a clearly understandable interface can't be overstated. Not to be too critical, however - mad props to Tekin for providing such tuneable electronics at a great price!!

Is this the correct number? A Tekin motor set at the "0" mark is at 15 degrees actual timing? If so, then based on previous setups posted a Ballistic would be set at the leftmost mark which would also be 15. Am I on track with this?

I think Novak's left most is a true 0. They tell you to not run at that. I can't get my Novak to run well at anything less than N.

It has been said before that they will ban this and that

and I love my tekin and have stuck by it when other speediest
have supose to have been faster but if you stick with it

It will always be there.

Sorry should have stated that I was using 64/29

But I was running

199 as it seemed to run cooler
15 timing after dropping from 20 when new speediest came on
the scene (thanks mikky32)
max turbo
with a .6 delay
have set faster lap times with this setup than most including
the national champ although the consistance is not there yet

watch out Harrison. Rolf
