Justa question as the evo III thread is dead. Does the tb-02/ta-04 lightweight suspension fit the tb evo III? Also I think the reversible suspension arms are the lightweight ones.

Martin Crisp is the man. TQ's and Wins 19T at IIC. His car was so good it was on another planet. He almost got a podium in Mod Rubber but made a rare mistake in the sweeper going into the first turn 180 but still...much props. Congratulations to all of the Tamiya team, it was a good week. Scheiße!

Wooo HOOOO.... parts for my MSX have arrived today

MS Chassis plate, ACER ceramics ball bearings, and ACER diff balls are all here.

I'm gonna prep the chassis (my usual rounded touch) and then mount the LWT suspension.

All I need to do then is wait for my nice big parcel to arrive from RC Champ... I just hope the MSX kit comes with all the screws needed! I have countersunk Ti's for the bottom... just not any for the top!

Oh, and this p'd me off!

Lol TryHard, I agree that is poor form as well.

Keep your eyes open for some nice auctions that the guys from IIC are putting up. Race bodies from all the top drivers as well as one of DJ's race cars complete with electronics.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks it is that.... I don't know why, but it just is... well... sad really.
Gareth (from what I've been told) was a great chap, and his son Dewi is a fantastic racer (I've seen him race myself)... why would anyone want to attempt to profit from such a thing....

Call me old fashioned (despite beng 23) but it's just wrong....

I have been told by one supplier in HK and one from Japan that it was going to be the 28th - but how long it will actually take for each stockist to receive them after that is probably down to how many pre-orders etc..

Default vegas

Hey Rod - Thanks! btw - you learn fast, considering you don't run rubber tire/carpet. Awesome job in 19 turn.

Some folks were asking for my vegas setup. I ran the same setup for both mod and 19 turn....

Tires : glue half of front sidewall

Front:
Front one way : yes
Center one way : no (locked)
Droop : 24mm to top of axle
Springs: white
Oil: 60 orion
Shock pos:
-outer hole on shock tower
-outer of two holes on arm
Inside Upper links : 2mm spacer
Ackerman : front holes on knuckles
- swept back bell crank
Blocks : d and d - no spacers
Wheelbase: 3mm forward
Caster : 2 degrees
Swaybars : none
Toeout: none
Wheel hub spacers : 1mm
Belt : position 1
Ride height: 5.5 to 5
Lw suspension
Camber: 1

Rear:
Droop : 25mm to top of axle
Springs: blue
Oil: 60 orion
Shock pos:
- One hole in on shk twr
- Outer of two holes on arm
Inside Upper links : no spacer
Outside upper link: 0.7
Upper link length: outer hole on upright
Blocks : d and a - no spacers
Upright : 1 degree allum (total 2.5 toe in)
Wheelbase: 3mm forward
Swaybars : none
Wheel hub spacers : 1mm
Belt : position 2
Ride height: 5.5 to 5
Lw suspension
Camber : 1.5

Mod Motor : 8x1
Gearing : 102 and 25

19 turn :Orion Element
Gearing : 104/38

This setup had just a little push in mod but perfect in 19 turn. For 19 turn I ran the same setup of tires for all four qualifiers and the main. In mod I ran 2 sets of tires one on the first day of qualifying and the other for the second day of qualifying and the main. For mod I would probably make the following changes to add a little more steering.

* not glue front tire sidewall at all
* lay down front shocks one or two holes

Is this DJ's car?

Just wondering, casue if you look closely at the rear arms, they've had material removed... and they're the old style... Hmmmm
