27t stockers are plentiful here

The Drift version don't seem to have hop-up parts for front one-way or solid axle. I wonder how it drifts stock. Comments?

Colin from HPI just had a couple of these at the TA Nats. Wow I want one now. He had both a stock kit version and one with all the hop ups... they really look sweet and drew a lot of attention! We talked a little about it and probably if we get enough for a class will go with silver can handouts like Core mentioned to start. That is something we have done with Tamiya minis for some time and it is a great starting point. Lipo/brushless is really big here so we also talked about single cell 17.5 or 21.5. It'll be fun to test out and see what these things will do.

I wish we had more guys over here that were into running the silver can motors in classes regularly...about the only time the silver cans come out - is when the TCS is in "town" or someone wanted to revive memories of the "old days" and the Mini Coopers come out

I just completed my cup racer build over the weekend (240z) and noticed that the drivetrain doesn't feel as smooth and free as other shaft drive chassis like the HPI pro 4, Yokomo CGM, AE shaft cars I've had before. Is there something wrong with my build or is this a common observation to those who have the cup racer? Thanks.

With that said, My hopes are that come the "mini" series at BCR there is a way to make sure everyone is running a stock "silver can". Claims are made during practice "Yes my motor is stock". Knowing my motor is dead stock, why then can they pass me in the straight like I'm standing still? Maybe one of the posts had some merit, hand out silver cans at the race, making sure everyone is on the same playing field.
