hi all,
i just bought this radio, used and without battery.
therefore i'd like to ask you:

- which voltage must be used?
- must the black wire be at the center or at one side of the plug (and which one)?

in case i use wrong voltage or i swap the cables, i will fry my radio, isn't it?

i followed the instructions but the radio doesn't get on.
is there anybody here that can please take a photo of the battery box to show me how these damn cables must be set?
Also, are 8AA okay?

This is what I have:


Battery box:



The Sanwa Super Exzes is the last of the 'old' version of the Sanwa Exzes series. It uses a 3s lipo or 8 aa batteries and the connection is the (very) old Sanwa style. (It is opposite to the now standard Futuba order.)
So as per the photo, negative is the middle connector, positive is the top connection. (Note this is the reverse of the now standard Futuba order.)

the manual was not clear, and i think that having connected the battery the wrong way damaged my radio unfortunately...
i'll ​​​​​​ get in touch with a radio technician, hoping the problem can be easily (and cheaply) solved.

Hi,

No problem at all. If I remember correctly there is a tiny (surface mount fuse) along the power track, coming from the pins where you plug in the battery. It's a small black square along the copper track (I think).
You need to take the transmitter apart to find it.
Basically follow the track on the PCB board from where the battery plugs in.

Hello,
I'm Axel and I'm a proud owner of the Sanwa Exzes for years now. Unfortunately since my last battery swap I cannot switch the TX on, so I guess it is the mentioned smt fuse. I have removed the six screws of the backplate of my TX but I cannot fully open it.
Is there any trick or screws I have forgotten?

I know, last post has been a while ago, but I hope you can help me out?

Hi,

Is there a traditional antenna / aerial in it. Try removing it.

Also up near the top there may be a decal on both sides holding it together, near where the buttons are.

Long time stick sanwa user.

Mick, you are my man! Thanks.
I have had removed the antenna already, but will try the decals too. Then I will short circuit the smd fuse and see if it's the reason.
Since all my models are programmed in there I like to stick to the radio as long as useful. I also like the option of changing the moduls between FM band and 2.4 Ghz.
