Quick question for you Jason, whats the best way to cut and drill c/f?

I've got some old burst chassis lying around and i would like to make some parts for another car. Whenever i drilled c/f before it always splintered really bad even with masking tape on both sides. Any info would be helpful sir?

Jason,

Now that we are going to be running Lipo's in Touring Cars, and are having to add lots of additional weight to be legal, have you ever considered making some balancing weights? Either stick on or bolt on? How about out of Tungsten? It has a greater mass per volume than the traditional lead. It's sure is hard to stick 3.5 ounces of lead to an already cramped MI 3 chassis.

Just a thought.....

carbide circuit board drills work great. For cutting i like diamond flute router bits. Both are available from McMaster Carr.

To be honest bro, with the lipos getting big i think we will be seeing minimum weight limits dropping and cars being redesigned to accomodate them. At this time Losi is the only car reaping the benefits of the lipos. Tm also but i dont know how many are out there. I definately see TC heading in that direction if lipos become the norm. I dont want to invest time in TC for this reason. I have no idea where it is going and i dont want to be left with a ton of useless inventory.

I am sure I am beating a dead horse here but, this car is the BEST 1/12 I have ever driven! I have never liked 1/12 scale and this car has changed my mind! Awesome work Jason!
I ran the ROAR Region 2 Regionals this weekend and actually qualified in the A! Then to finish the race in 5th was great!
Still having problems with corner speed but it's getting closer to the way I like to drive every adjustment I make.
Thanks BMI!

I dont race touring car any more but, the one car that will be around for a while (I think) will be the TC5. I would do a chassis for that car before any other.
