Great product!
This is where I'm going to use the one I just purchased, so what did you use for a FDR? On of our racers was around 4.1 with a 17.5 and we are running our brushed motors at 5.1 - 5.2.

We had a pretty open track layout (100x40 track, my best lap being 10.7 seconds), and I was geared at 3.37 FDR. For more typical, tighter layouts, gearing is usually around 3.6-3.7.

pm answered if you have any more questions shoot me another pm.
I'm not 100% sure on the gearing now that I thought about it... I want to say at the nats with the 17.5 I ran 3.16-3.23 in that range for 12th scale but I was changing the timing too. ended up about a half a notch off of max timing with the lrp esc... it'll depend on your tracks length and layout so adjust accordingly.

kyle, did you get the 13.5's in yet?

thanks

Michael

This was back a page or two
You can purchase them online at stomerhobbies if they are in stock still. If not you can contact the office at (480) 726-7519 and put one on backorder.

ran the 17.5 this weekend...in tc..outside temp was 95 degrees..no fans on motor..geared anywhere from 3.7 to 4.3..ended up at 4.1...after 6 minutes on track motor temp was 178...we have a long straight 110 feet..very flowing layout..car could pull 3.7 easy but motor temps were in the 195-210 range...
