Has anyone noticed the lack of motor adjustment? I have a HW 17.5 and the non drive end bell is really close to both the rear bulkheads and alloy rear upper deck post.
Thanks for any help in advance.

Brett

In order to have a higher gear ratio for 21.5 , how about reversing a larger pinion gear and using the smaller part of the spur gear to mesh the bigger pinion ?

there are 3 FGX at HKS Hobby. the demo chassis looks really good. the drivetrain is much smoother than I thought.

I kinda wish they would have made the gear reduction spur a spur gear adapter. How hard would it be to remove the large spur from the smaller drive spur and then tap 3 holes into the smaller drive gear? I see a nice shiny aluminum one in the works already. I don't have mine yet, but that is one obvious improvement.

The wing on your F109 has a really thick piece of plastic that the the wings are molded on that attaches directly to the chassis. The nose is then mounted on top of that. The FGX wing bolts to 2 small mounts under the nose much like a real F1. That is all well and good for scale appearance but not so good for durability.

It actually feels quite solid. The wing itself is made of somewhat flexible plastic, but where it attaches to the nose feels pretty darn sturdy. its just a couple screws, but there's also a bunch of interlocking, keyed parts.

Does anyone know what the ratio of the gearbox is? So I can have a better idea of where to start out with the gearing.

A buddy of mine got his on the track today. He says its easy to drive, he ran a 17.5. Hes a good racer, he is our top F1 guys hands down. Sounds like 3racing has got something here. He did echo Lightfoots sentiment on the gears. Needs more.
