The new rules is that it can be turbo but i think that it still has to be a 3port motor

When I do the measurement, there were NO ball bearings inside the clutch housing....
Step 8.6 didn't show any ball bearing inside....I have only the thrustbearing inside instead.

Rookie, first things first, double check the thickness of shim that you placed between the brass collet and engine output bearing, this should be 0.5mm. When checking your A & B dimensions that should be with just the thrust bearing installed not the 2 small ball bearings.

Good luck

Mark
According from my caliper..........I had 0.47mm, 0.48mm and 0.53mm shims, no 0.50mm exact thickness SHIM......do you think Serpent can send me a exact 0.50mm shim, and do you guys think that is the different...? I used a 0.48mm thickness, should I get 2 more 0.01mm shims to form 0.50mm?

Also, I think it is my $50 cheapy EBAY Caliper....

Jack, I dont find the Ti pivot ball yet. But you can use the G4 Blue/Ti colour Adjusting nut (808344, serpent number)
The option part is coming from KFactory (KFC-K1448, G4 Alu Piv Ball Nut&Tefl Wsh(2))
It has Teflon Washer !

They will fit nicely on 710.

How was the R40? Why did you switch to the 710? I guess you cannot make comparisons yet since you have not driven the 710. Give us brief details with regards to the comparison !

If I'm not mistaken, ceramic bearings are not allowed if you run ROAR sanctioned races. IRMAR allows it though. I may be wrong.

Regarding Titanium pivot balls, there was actually some around which is for the 705 / Impulse as these pivot balls were slightly longer. I think you can find them at www.serpent.at or originally at the japanese site at www.centralrc.co.jp
