When you guys shim out the gear diff to tighten it up, roughly how much are you putting in? I was going to buy the shims, but I have a ton of shim stock at work. .005-.010 stock is pretty easy to cut with exacto or scissors, so I'd like to try that. I obviously shim both sides, but what ballpark are we looking at? Any help would be awesome.

in my m03 stabilizer manual says that in front the joints should be 2mm and at the rear just tighten the two joints.. how does it affect it i will change it like 1mm or 3mm. whats the purpose of that? and which is soft or hard the black roll bar or silver?

quick question, under TCS/IFMAR/ROAR (whatever else is out there) RULES, what is the minimum weight allowed in the mini class?

Our upcoming race on Sunday will put this to the test BIGTIME. Our LHS had quite a bit come in and it went all out in within an hour. I have the regualr M03 and she is ready to go up against the 03R. I did see alot of people not using the stock shocks though....the clear ones were being traded for kits..

I'll be there next year...100% sure...NIMHs and all. Since the Formula GT (brushless/Lipo) class will be exactly what I need in a sedan class I will be ok springing for the cells in mini! It won't bother me too much to buy a pack or 2 of those old things called NIMH. Although it would be awesome if they allowed the Orion/Peak Lipos innthe mini class!!

Although I have yet to try any LIPO, the mini class might be a good choice for the future, as changing batttery weight at least won't upset the side to side balance of the car like a LIPO does in most touring sedans.
For those who have tried a LIPO in mini - how did it effect the front to rear balance of the car? Did you have to adjust your setup with LIPO over NiMH? My first impression would be that the car might be a bit light in the rear end with a LIPO, and as a result turn faster than expected/desired, or perhaps be loose in the rear.
