In 13.5, slipper to slipper delete was just a nice weight savings. Never ran a gear diff with a 13.5, but the gear diff in mod is a bit easier to drive.
thanks LAGUY

Just got my first Xray. Does the xb4 share turnbuckles and/or ball cups with any other manufacturers? Would love to re-purpose some of my titanium bits from my TLR and/or Associated cars.

The XB4 2017 uses five 50mm turnbuckles and two 55mm turnbuckles. Research the lengths on your other cars to determine compatibility.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I'm more concerned with ball studs/ballcups. I know that AE and TLR use different sizes, just wondering if Xray shares sizes with one of those two.

***EDIT: Looks like it uses 4.9mm studs. TLR uses 4.8mm and AE uses 5.5mm

I know the kit isn't intended to be run with saddle packs, but can it be done?

I personally like the saddle pack set up and feel the buggy is more balanced this way. That and I have several saddle packs sitting around.

Can the center diff/slipper be flipped so the motor is mounted on the other side?
In looking at images of the buggy I feel like it should be able to be done, but I don't know if there is enough of a cutout in the chassis to allow to spur gear to fit when diff/slipper is flipped.

I know I wouldn't be able to do this with the 2018 version coming out due to the lowering of the motor mount and cutout of the chassis for the motor.

I appreciate any help and thank you in advance.

Agreed, lowering the motor mount as the only change to drive a $30 increase in price makes no sense to me. I'll just keep my 2017 version.

30$ not 50$:

I don't see it as being a big deal at all for the updated reigning Ifmar and Roar champ wheeler.

The updates to the shock package is dramatic, they are WAAAYYYY better now.

Funny how owners of xray product complaining about pricing. It's like people who bought BMW and Mercedes cars and complaining about the cost of parts. You guys know this kit is expensive right? If you can't fork out the money change to a different brand..... simple. You pay for what you get.

and they will....change. and already are at my track. my point is if you want to keep up with a new guy that is a serious contender you dont raise prices. If they are ok with loosing a bunch of customers, more power to them.
