Is there a battery bar or or strap that works with the VBC?

I'm not a big fan of the tape.

Not from VBC. I would bet you could get the Xray setup or another brand to work though.

Maybe even this? http://www.reflexracing.net/RSD-Batt...D6_p_1225.html

I think max said he had a racer in the boosted b final. They had quite a large contingent there

Hey Lambie,

From what I can tell this isn't a strap / tape replacement as much as a holder?
I see the FF12 has been added to the VBC site, think it looks great. Looks like VBC has a few good things up their sleeve, very glad to see.

Hi guys,
Just wanted to ask what you think about the shocks of the wildfire?
I've got my kit now but I'm not that positive about them.
How did you built them and did you use other parts than the kit ones?

Also: which spur gears fit the wildfire? I want to run stock motors and i couldn't fit corally or kimbrough spurs.
Thanks in advance
Chris

Hi Chris,

I did a visual inspection of the shock bodies before assembly and found some burrs left over from the machining process. I removed them using tweezers being careful not to scratch the finish.

I used the shock upgrade kit which has the shafts and pistons which i found work very well. What are the problems you are having?

I am running a 114 tooth 64dp Panaracer Spur on both kits with no problems. If you really need to, you can also use the XRay spur gear.

My problem with the shocks was that with the std parts they cought air through the bottom and they don't move smooth. I switched the bottom parts and the pistons to some high quality ones and it got better. But now i can feel the burrs in the shock body. The body looks like it's not coated like the ones by other manufacturers or at least not well enough machined for a goof feel.
Regarding the spurs is my problem that my lhs doesn't carry those xray spurs or sth thats similar to them. I ended up sanding the plastic spacer between pulley and spur for about 1mm to fit a kimbrough spur. It was much work but it works now :-)

Using a 87T 48p TC6.1 spur. I just leave out the plastic spacer. It's fine....

Forgetful_Duck: when you leave out the plastic spacer, doesn't the belt rub against the teeth of the spur? I think the plastic spacer is for guiding the belt so it doesn't break?

Reese Bobby: i will post my impressions sunday or monday after the first test day with the car. Hope it's faster than my photon ex and the arc of a local racer I'll have to compete against at our german nationals the week after :-)
