If it's the older can design, SP has "reved up" several versions of improvement since then. You may not be able to gear up to keep up w/the Novak/LRP with one of those before going temp critical.

We are only bringing in the solid anodized 10.5/13.5 motors, as they were the only ones directly comparable to the Novak/LRP designs.

The simple answer is yes it is the holes in the can motor. What is the part number of the anodised 13.5 please?. As I only purchased this last week, I thought it was latest motor - oh well.....

We'll be carrying the SPF135 and SPF105, which are the full annodized can 13.5 and 10.5 motors respectively.

So did I and I have 2 of them. But with the upgraded rotor for that can, the motor is pretty good

You wouldn't have a part number for the upgraded rotor by any chance please? Do you know if the timing is adjustable, or more to the point do you know if the little notches in the timing ring should line up with the end plate screws where the sensor wire plugs in or not?. I ask this as I am almost certain that the motor has been dismantled prior to buying it as there are some strange marks on all the screws.
Thanks

The 2 upgraded rotors got sent to me without any paperwork, so I don't have any clue as to the part numbers. I can email Kenneth from Racing Factory (in Finland) to find out if he knows it. As far as the notches go, mine line up in the 'middle' of the holes on the can (which if you look at the endplate screws, are just to the 'right' of them)...HTH
