Default New to the serpent S411 club

Just pressed order on one of these (latest release with 2.25mm chassis) and I'm looking forward to try it out. At the same time I ordered the regular spare parts and a extra gear diff for the front.

Are there any other must have option parts I should fit when building the car, or is it OK right out op the box? I will be running indoor carpet.

i would get teh 3.5 rear toe plate for carpet. and use the 3 from the kit rear , and move that to the front F and use the 2 for Front R .

If I understand you correctly then it should be like below:

FF: 3.0
FR: 2.0
RF: 0.0
RR: 3.5

Can you please explain with a few words the reasoning for these changes?
Does anyone else have an opinion on this?

I bought the spring sets so I should be OK there. What about the sway-bars for indoor carpet (rubber)? 1.4mm is standard on the car.

Regards Ronny

on the track i have run on, i found the extra toe in at rear helped wiht on power grip. the car has lots of steering. so to stop the car biting so hard at the front mid corner, i widened the track width. i even had on Blue front springs, which is very hard. but i think Red fronts would be better. rear bar i removed, front swaybar i used kit 1.4.

Ronny,

Get the swaybar set as it is an important tuning tool. 1.8, 1.6, 1.2mm bars.

The reasoning for Patto's changes to the front is to widen it up and take away some steering. It can also be achieved somewhat by getting the +1mm offset wheel hexes.

Get some 0.5mm suspension block spacers too for the rear.

Thanks guys, much appropriated. I will order the 3.5 suspension mount, 0.5mm spacers and sway bar set.

Are you guys running a gear diff or the spool in the front? I was thinking to run the gear diff with thick fluid (300.000-600.000).

Hey Ronny finaly you came to sense Going to run rubber or?
You should get the 19T Alu pully, i noticed that the plastic ones got sloppy right away.

I expected that you would chime in! I will try rubber to begin with. It will for sure be a change as I've always been running on foam. I will add the 19t alu pulley to the "to order" list.
