CarBreaker
How do you get on with the pipe?
I had to use another make as I couldn't get my motor to rev with it.

I measured my G4S tank at 80ml... I'm hoping its my beaker that was inaccurate.

well, I don't know the full potential yet, My engine is relatively new and most of time I have it on the rich side. my engine is cold (never exceed 200F with 20% nitro and O.S. P3 plug) so I really can't tell the full performance of it

I will lean it up I have chance to run it next time. and give you a report on it

I found that I could not lean the motor properley as it appeared to run hot and lean, I put an old dented Max Power pipe on it and was able to lean the top by half a turn and the bottom by a quarter, the motor now revs more but runs much cooler.

Default My New G4S

Just got my new G4S from ExtremeRCHobbies and started building it out last night. Have finished building the front portion of the car and I am very pleased with the quality of the parts. Can't wait to finish it and try it out in the track.

Though have yet to put it up in a set-up board, twas pretty wierd that the 68.5mm length of the steering turnbuckles was supposed to be the stock set-up which was coupled with 4mm distance from steering hub and upper steering arm and 3mm for the bottom yielded a huge toe-out. Well, I guess will just have to finish the car and "Hudy" it.

Another thing that I noticed is the drivertrain quality. Everything seems to be very flush and not too loose which should result in a very efficient drive train. My R40's drivetrain was very loose in such a way that if you push the car without the motor, it will glide all the way. The G4S seems not to be the case - or probably it needs to be run-in first.

Overall, I am very very happy with the car and can't wait to run it in the track.

Looks like I will be retiring my R40 for good

well, my friend has a 12tz 5pwith the same missile pipe, his engine is much hotter like 240F, we both run it with the shortest setup and it seem that 18tz
have better luck with it
btw, have you try making it longer and see the difference?

Default Steering Knuckle Ackerman Position

One huge tool for steering adjustments is the ackerman position on the steering knuckle. These set-ups that people are posting are really good for al of us. Please also include the ackerman used on the steering knuckles. I guess for most it will be the stock position.

Default Brian Berry

I would just like to welcome you Brian to Team Magic and the G4.
We are all very pleased you have decided to come on board, I'm sure you'll have a huge input to the development of the G4.

Have you had a chance to run the G4s yet? What do you think?

Tony
