What clutch shoe is harder? Red or yellow?

On the sedan side the red shoe is softer than yellow. The yellow has a wider sweet spot.

Which would give more power? Assuming clutch is perfect.

When choosing a clutch shoe you need to look at the available grip of the track. The red shoe has a harder bite but if you don't have the traction you will just spin the tires. The yellow shoe to me has the best engagement in all situations. So which has more power is really an invalid question. Hope this helps. The yellow shoe seems to have just enough slip which keeps your engine temps down.

I always end up back on the yellow shoe as I too have found it more consistent and easier to set than the red shoe. The red shoe also has a VERY small setting window whereby just a 1/8th turn on the clutch adjust nut can make the difference between too much slip and too little!

Hi guys what's your clutch adjusting nut measurement for a high bite track with the yellow shoe and of course serpent spring?

Which is harder, Capricorn spring or serpent clutch spring?

I run serpent spring 1.1 on the spring and on a new shoe .6 gap after practice about 15 20 mins I reset it to .7

Guys what's the effect of changing positions of the servosaver insert? I used the stock set up where the holes are near each other away from the servosaver bearing.

You may want to read up on the effects of Ackermann. In a nut shell; It is the ability of the inside wheel to turn at a different angle than the outside wheel.
when this happens you get more or less corner entry steering. If your Ackermann is off it will cause the car to scrub speed during the turn because of the wrong angle.
