radio impound
I see on the layout there is a radio impound area.
Any chance of waiving radio impound for anyone with a DSM?
Especially with this year's event being sold out, it really is difficult to not have congestion there.
More and more events (Cleveland as an example) have stopped bothering with impound. In theory they had it last year at Hobby Chamber, but they had to end up not enforcing by the end because of all of the aggravation it caused.
I realize it might require a ROAR variance, but I would like to suggest such.

Barry ..... radio impound is something that I can not waive. The impound is a self impound. Tables will be girded up per your heat and radio ID stickers will be issued as well. Only current racers, on-deck racers, marshals and pit personnel will be in the track area so congestion shouldn't be a problem. This system worked for us quite well in 2002.
As far as DSM with the number of racers at this event and the limited number of 2.5 ghz channels the spektrun can use it is theoretically possible to cause a racers radio to not function properly. Due to this ALL radios must be impounded.
