So we won't be able to have someone run our cars throught tech and put the cars down for us????
I don't think I've ever seen a factory guy put his own car down at a big race like this.

thus, the definition of Pit Personnel. The concept makes obvious sense for nitro, but has its own definition for electric.

I'm sure well be able to have people help each other thru tech. Just not stand around the track watching the race. They will prabably have to go to the bleachers afterwards to watch the race.

Well, I'm sure that even if they let people help each other through tech, that will apply to everyone EXCEPT you

Pit personel is any other racer or someone with a track pass. We will be issuing ID badges with your name on lanyards. The badges will also have a bar code for people to be able to use to print practice lap times. We will also issue badges to support personnel as long as they are current ROAR members. To get into the track area you must have your ID badge. This helps us to keep the track are secure, radio impound secure and non ROAR mebers out of the areas that they should not be in. It also helps to limit the number of people standing around the track and being a distraction while others are on the track.

From a spectator's point of view, that pass only post (and Art's post too)reads a little strange ... If we show up on Sunday to watch, do we do this from outside the building??

Yea, but there is windows where you can look in ...the pass is for people allowed into the racing area i.e. if you look at that PDF you'll notice there are bleachers for spectators to watch the racing from inside the building.

Jake-the track is seprated in the building from the pit/rest/food area, and there will be a bleachers outside the layout for spectators. It was this way at the 2002 nats and worked very well.

As to whether we will allow oval geeks in the building, that is another story
