That follows the rule!

.....the disks must be secured to the wheel by the axle nut or screws.

It looks killer on most paint schemes I plan on running them once we hit asphalt.

A long time ago a lot of 12th scale guys used to use them for a supposed aerodynamic advantage. The rule came about because sometimes the dots would fall off and get stuck on the track or another car. IIRC Doseck got DQed at Cleveland one year because one of his wheel dots fell off (the rule used to be that you could have them but you would get DQed if they fell off).

So this means I can't use my stash of hot pink yokomo wheel dots from the offroad days?

The rule says no wheel dots, i guess we will have to take the color/compound dots off the inside of the wheel too.

This is off of the Roar website today.

After reading the following post on the ROAR website, I can come up with multiple interpretations of its meaning.

"Rule Correction for T2 wheels:
Maximum wheel/tire width for foam tires in the T2 class - 31.0mm.
This will be corrected in the 2007 rulebook."

Is there a ROAR official that cares to clarify its meaning?

It was posted on our Roar forum that this was the rule and that any wheel that was legal last year is fine this year. The last sentence means it will be changed to show the correct wording in the 2007 rule book as the 2006 books have already been printed.

A little update for everyone on the current entry situation, we have been in contact with ROAR and have gained approval for a deviation of Nationals Guidelines Rule 29.5 increasing the maximum heat count to 28 from 25. Based on this I have been filling spots with entries received in the order they we’re received. Once these entries have been entered into the on-line signup system the remaining open spots will be opened to the public for entry. These spots will reopen after 12:00 midnight tomorrow Wednesday 2/23. All Touring Car classes have been filled. The only spots that will be available are 1/12th mod and 1/12th 19 Turn.

Look to our www.2006roarnats.com for a full to the minute schedule for the full event. With over 270 entries this should be one hell of a race and the largest electric on-road national in the last 10 years. See you all real soon ....
