I do have a comment on something in the rules. And no this isnt a "buck the system" post. I love the class as it is. This is just something Ive talked to Darkside about before the Southern Nats.
When I was researching real paint schemes for my sons and my bodies for the big race, since we wanted to do actual replicas, Alot of the real cars didnt have numbers on both doors, hood and trunk. For example #7 Alan Green Chevrolet Camaro does not have a number on the trunk, and the #29 Jay Bittle Mustang does not have a Hood number. I made sure it wouldnt disqualify us ,and it didnt, but thought it might need brought up.
I think what Im getting at is Id hate to see someone penalized somewhere because a track is trying to follow 100% USVTA rules, which is AWESOME, but doesnt have numbers in the 4 places. Ive tried to think of a way to word it in the rules to contribute a solution, instead of just a problem, but having trouble as im not the "wordy" type lol. I can see some people running the wrong way with a change and not running numbers which wouldnt be a good thing either.
Maybe im worrying about something stupid but was on my mind

as far as the #'s go...I wouldnt worry to tuff about it...If you paint up a "period" correct car, thats a rep of a real racers ride...make it as close as possible...if your local track "strickly" requires it...add two numbers....
the NJ paint master (love your work always) has done alot of replicas, and I dont think anybody would DQ one of his bodies for any race...jmo
I think if it period correct and a rep...let it fly...better than blobs of paint any day...
but see if Rob K can chime in on this

Yes. There is something weird going on with the page indexing. Thus far there are 825 pages of posts in 'U.S. Vintage Trans-Am Racing' but the index shows that there are over 835 pages. When you click on 'Last Page' it is trying to take you to a page that does not exist. Then it gives you a 'Redirect Loop' error? ?
I've had similar problems with putting all 4 numbers on. One thing I've done is to be a little creative with the placement/size of the numbers.
This is a pic of a 1:1 car that I replicated at one point. It's got trunk numbers but they aren't the size and location that you'd expect.
Regardless, there are plenty of 1:1 VTA cars that were run and are run in the historical races that don't have 4 numbers on them. It doesn't take much looking to find cars with fewer than 4 numbers on them.

I'm on a tight budget and my budget is getting tighter since I just moved from an apartment to a house. I am building up a low-cost VTA using a Losi XXX-S chassis and a SP Stock Club ESC. I have been looking at the price of 25.5T motors and the Novaks have been over $84.00. Speed Passion has their Ultra Sportsman V3.0 25.5R motor on sale for $42.00. I know that Speed Passion motors are not on the current U.S. VTA rules, but is there a chance that the Ultra Sportsman 25.5R motor could appear in the rules in the future?

I like Paragon unless you have a Hundred people pitting in a room that is obviously too small for it like, lets face it most pit areas are too small for what we stuff into them.
I updated the flyer for the SEVTA Champs.

Without a timing advance, you would be at an disadvantage anyways, just save up for a little more and get what you want...
I wouldnt count on it. Here is $20 cheaper then $84
