My wife is kicking me out to the garage which gets kind of hot during the day. How hot is too hot of a work area to keep my batteries stored? It can get to the upper 90's in a garage in Texas if not warmer. I was considering buying a used wine cooler to house my batteries but not sure how much moisture it would generate and if that would be a concern.

i just got my 3 gp3700 packs today and the battery bars barely look soldered . how come . on several of them you can't even see a solder joint . i work around pcb boards all day as a fuji surface mount operator and i know that a good solder joint is important for maximum current flow and reliability

They are soldered...
You are correct, a good solder joint is critical. I am sure you also know that a good solder joint doesn't require a ton of solder -

IF (biggest if ever in the history of the world) you have problems, don't worry, that is the glory or Pro-Match. They WILL make it right.

i'm not sure what thread i read it in, but i vaguely remember reading that in order to achieve a linear performance from the IB's you have to gear down, since it produces too much voltage that the motor heats up, thereby feeling "soft" in the latter minutes.

has anyone else noticed this? thanks -jason

Thanks PROMATCH
for getting me the run time and voltage I need not only to make the main but finish 4th in 1/12 scale at this past weekend's ROAR Nats.

In 1/12 where batteries are more important than any other class I never even came close to "dumping"

I just received my promatch receiver pack for my 1:12. On the instruction, it says i should not charge it higher than 0.1A but according to my calculation, it'll take approx 1.5 hour to charge up the 160mah pack at 0.1A and since we only have a 50-60mins gap between each race... and minus 10 mins or so for scrutineering and stuff. so not only i'll need an extra charger so i can charge my car battery and receiver pack at the same time but even so i still won't have time to charge it up completely. so it seems i HAVE to charge it at higher amp? so my questions are:

1. How many races can a fully charged receiver pack last? 1 race? 2 race? or more?

2. Has anyone tried charging it at a higher amp? like 0.5A?

1.) Your pack will last approx about 30 min depending on the current draw of the cervos/receiver being used. It can vary but typically you should get about 30+ min.

2.) is too high to charge them at. That will cause rapid deterioration of the cells and may even destroy the pack!!!!!!
