Hopefully my Smokem deck will get here next week and I can try it out before I leave on vacation for two weeks. It seems to have landed in a black hole called US Customs but I'm hopeful it will escape soon and find its way to me.

It says you need shorter hinge pins as well... Also I like to have access holes in the chassis to get to my pinion.

I'm running my 418 on carpet with 13.5
Med grip fairly small track. What

What 13.5? Blinky or open timing/boost?

More than likely be somewhere in the range of 4.5 -> 6.0, sadly ideal for that is NOT the kit spur!

You'll need something smaller, 108 (in 64p) gives the best spread of available FDRs for a 13.5t.

I know when I was running my reedy mach 2 13.5 I was running a FDR of right around 4.1. I would say start around a 4.5 and go from there. Assuming you are running blinky mode.

Was going to order some spares for my 418. Seems like a lot of people are out of stock,
Anybody know who keeps lots in stock?

What are people running for fdr for blinky 17.5 on carpet? Ive read people running around 3.6 but it was from a couple years back.

Motor is speed passion comp 3.0 in blinky 17.5

3.6 sounds a bit high to start with. I'd start at 4.4 on a small track and 4 on a big (indoor) track, have gears to hand to get 3.6 if you need it.
