I'm sure when JV settles he will dominate again...

Well I had a good day of running with the Corally yesterday. We managed to sneek in an outdoor parkinglot racing this sunday. Weather was nice and we had some good racing.

It was a HUGE track! I mean HUGE!!! THis track would have been fit for 1/8 scale it was soo big. To make a long story short I finished 3rd in all four of our qualifiers(yeah four, we moved through the qualifiers so quickly that we decided to run another one)and then finished second in the A-main and the Corally had the second fastest lap time all day(Behind fellow RCtech board member CIVIC91 and his newly purchased Losi). So it was a good day!

Every Losi owner at the track broke atleast one part during the day! EVERY one of them!

Lets hear it for Corally durability!

hehe- good job fellas
Darkside- After running carpet this weekend I think i've found a good basic set-up that allowed me to TQ and win with pretty much the same angles we've been using except white springs in front instead of orange and moving all top shocks all the way out on the towers. This really prevented any oversteer and wandering on the carpet as well as traction rolling. Also used Sorex 20r with medium soft inserts for tons of grip and little wear.
Did you notice any change with your caster adjustments?

MikeR: I forgot to try it. I did find that with my one way active I was swinging the rear end around in some of the tighter turns. I move the rear shock in one hole and this seemed to correct the problem.

Thats the first time I've really changed the set up on the car from what I've been running since I got it.

MikeR: oh.....also.....thanks for the ideas about where to start with the set up on carpet. I figured I would have to get stiffer in the spring department. Did you change the rear spring or did you just switch the front to whites?

I only moved the rear to the outside holes on the tower- didn't change the springs, oil or piston which is good because when I run on tarmac there isn't much to change back.
Oh, if you still have problems with the back swinging out try moving the neutral point on your radio throttle up a few clicks to eliminate any sort of motor drag when you let off the throttle.

MikeR: That pretty much took care of the problem, but what you said is a good idea......

I heard JV wants a XXX-S???

There is one guy in Sydney that got a XXX-S the day they came out, at his first race meeting, in the first 1 minute of practice, he broke a front arm! The poor guy has not been able to drive the car ever since because there are no spare parts!

I am still pondering, I like the little attention to detail on the Xray, but i really apreciate the service from Corally.

Who Are you? I assume you must know who i am, not a difficult thing to figure out.

About the stock thing, i prefer to race in Mod with people of equal, or should i say mostly better skills than mine , so that i do not have to deal with the bad practices that usually prevail in club stock races.

Also what is more fun than a car throwing two foot sparks out the rear of the car as it reaches light speed down the straight.
