Default Which servo for 1/8 throttle?
Have a brand new Spektrum 6290 metal case or a Semi used savox 2274sg? It’s going in a losi 8ight T 4.0 nitro. Using the protek 170s for steering.

The Savox, more torque for breaking. In my opinion.

Spektrum has more speed and still has reasonable torque. Savox does have more though. Personal preference, I would try out both and see which one you like better

It's not all about the speed of the servo. I don't know the specs to the servos you're using but i would get something something .10-.13. Look at the pros servos and specs. You'll see the speed is not the fastest.

Savox SB-2274SG
  • Speed:
    • @7.4V: .08 sec/60
    • @6.0V: .105 sec/60
  • Torque:

I would still go with the Savox, more torque and the speed is null for this type of situation.

For the 8.4v on the Spektrum how can you get that for a nitro? Is it possible?

He does not have the servo you mentioned. He has the Spektrum 6920 AND/OR Savox SB-2274SG
Why add another servo in the mix is confusing. Also saying something like this without a description as to why makes it even worse.

lipo receiver battery, 7.4v nominal, but usually charges to about 8.4v

You Can use servo With Speed 0.10 to 0.12
And Power 17 to 30kg

Wish these servos were no so expensive but the Hitec 9370/9380 has been in my sons car since dnc 2017. Although worth it, too much money for 2 servos
