Questions?? Inferno MP9 TKI3 Roto Starter?

I got back into Nitro cars now that my son is old enough to race them around with me.

We both have MP9 TKI3 (stock engines) and in the 3 gallons of fuel we've gone through I've had to replace the pull starters on both cars twice.

I'm tired of the blisters and looking to install some sort of electric roto start on the engine in place of the pull starter.

Are there any that'll fit the stock KE21R engine?

Thanks!

Just buy a starter box, if your going to carry a roto starter a box isnt much more, can start both cars with it and theres nothing to break.

And you dont need any extra hardware because it just uses the flywheel thats already there.

HI drmorly, Have you looked in to get the tiger drive made by Sullivan RC products? look at this link you just have to find the right one to fit your engine but you might find that there is not enough room behind your engine for it to fit! Sullivan Products Home Page
good luck Michael

Dr Morley, I'm on the same path as you except I have not purchased anything.

Do you have any info to share on both setups? I'm keen on the Tiger Drive and would love to hear how well it runs compared to a starter box

I ended up going with a bump box rather than buy the Tiger Drive for each car we have. FWIW the bump box is working out great.

I use the starter box. Used universally on all race buggies.
