hey guys,
I know a lot of people are racing with the 13.5 and 17.5 and so on but was wondering what ratio would be good for an 8.5t, i race on an asphalt track with long straights but with an s-bend and few hair-pin corners
if anyone has some advice that would be great

Hi Dudes
I need your help about Steering ...Our Local club has a very small and tight Track Car simply Hasn't got enough steering ...
What gives me more steering? I know Narrowing front end helps but I use Front Multi diff and tried 1mm spacers instead of 1.5mm but it's not possible to use them as cvds too long with plastics on them does anybody tried 1.15mm with Multi diff?
Or what else gives me more steering especially for mid corner and corner exit...
Thanx in advance

You can try more castor I take your talking about rubber tires...and if you what to narrow the front end you have to run the 50mm cvds the 52mm will not allow you as you already know....With the castor change you will lose a little steering going in but gain mid and exit ...and you can also work from the rear of the car maybe it is to stuck and you can free it up that would help also check toe-in maybe just a tick to much...Hope that helps later Drew

Just now dipping into the Electric onroad section of RCTech now that winter carpet season is jus ahead of us.
Just wondering, why are you guys giving your selves headaches on trying to jimmy rig these big 5000+ Lipos into a sedan that wasnt designed for it? Why not run the Orion 3600/3800 with a tray weight underneith it and be done with it? Atleast thats what I am going to do!

Thanx Drew
yes It's rubber tyres and I've got 2.5mm Shims at rear 0 outboard so I should have around 3.5mm rear toe in (Carpet is Low Grip) Is that cause that type of bad effect?
also I've got 1 degree front toe out...
2 degree camber frnt&rear
35 W oil
Tamiya shocks
2.4fnt
2.6 rear springs
1.3 frnt 1.2 rear Anti Roll bars
1.3mm front shims looks like the limit but I may try 1.15 shims at front before 50mm drive shafts
Many thanx for your support
Cheers

who makes 28c 5000?

Not a problem, sounds like a lot of rear toe try taking a little out maybe go down to 2.5 toe in also switch your springs around 2.6 on front and 2.4 on rear that my help, but that my be to stiff in front then just put 2.4 all the way around...I looked on my car with a plastic spool with 52mm and I have the 1.15 and its fine...Oh and try toe in at the pin in the front so what that means is the shims that make your width you want a 1.5 in the back of the front and a 1.15 in the front of the front if that makes sense its hard to explain but you want your pins to have toe in kind of like the rear pins how you put toe there just not as much thats how I run mine .....Hope that helps let me know ...Thanks Drew
