I think the girl with the nice camera was doing that. You should stop posting so much and get back to work on our cantilever shock tower design , it would be cool to see if it worked. Hey if one corner of your car was almost like the real design and you made the main like that it might be dialed . Let me know if you actually get anywere with it, that would be hilarious.

Yeah, All you have to do is take an Exacto knife and scrape the glue off. It should just flake right off. It doesn't stick permanently to the aluminum outdrive. Just enough to hold them in place.

Yeah, Teemu easily TQ'd the club race before the ROAR Nats and was running away with the race when a young corner marshall ran out to get a car and stepped right in front of Teemu's car...going full throttle. The good news is the kid is fine. Who would have thunk DC skate shoes were great at protecting your feet from 45mph Mod Sedans. The bad news is that the actual car Teemu used to win the Euros is completely destroyed.

The other good new is that PW ran down Barry Baker and took the win. Schumacher swept all classes winning 19T, Pro Stock and I even won 1/12th with a new BMI pan car.

On the EC, it states that the drive shafts are alloy, will they be strong enough to survive in mod with the spool?? I understand they would for a while, as thats what Teemu was probably using, but he doesn't have to pay for more if they break....

Thanks
Iain

I've been running the purple alloy CVD's with a spool and 7 turn motors without problems.

The early batches of the Worlds CVD were prone to snapping at the base of the ball - cvd pivot joint, as there was too little material there. The following batches are almost bullet proof, I'm yet to break one using a spool and 7's.

brilliant CVD's, much lighter than any I've seen.

The confusion arises because they are Made by Titanium racing, they are infact made of alloy.

Excellent durability, I cant really fault them after months of use I cant detect any wear of the joint. You wouldnt expect this kind of wear when they are so light.
Just keep them clean and re-greased between meets.

The purple one are aluminum I believe. And like Gavin said, the early ones broke the axle itself, but that's been fixed.

That explains it, thanks Gav and Jon.

I currently have the alloy ones on the front of mine, as I am running the spool. So no drama's with them then.

Cheer's

Nasty crash, seen worse mind. Chris A killed his race car at a practice day, flat into the end of the main straight. Can't remember if the top deck was in 3 or 4 pieces - chassis was in 2. As a side note, the driveshafts survived, so even though they are alloy they are still strong.

Gavin is correct about the earlier ones, although i have been running a pair all year and only recently had to change the axles as i'd broken them. The bones are still fine - although i one of them has started to twist a bit

Destroyed or not can I put in my bid for Teemu's car. That would be a prize!

I wished that drivers would put there cars up for sale after big races like last yrs. aleast old bodies. This would good publicity. Especialy if there is a good story behind it.
