The side belt is shorter (new)
And the front belt is longer (also new).
I don't know the exact number of the teeths, i think the side belt was 446 and the front like 225. Must look at the office.
Rene, will you offer a 5mm front belt or is the new set-up a bit more gentle on belts than the Impulse/705?

I only know (like the rules sad) without fuel.
So our test car is 1675gramms.
But it’s not exactly. With different (smaller or bigger) Tyres, or different hardness, or with different radio, body and even colours the weight can be different.
Rene, it would be even lighter with Hudy spring steel drive shafts and axles as standard.

There is no need for a 5mm front belt.
All the pulley’s are bigger. In all the testing we never changed the front belt.
Only one time a belt loses the teeth. That was after a long run of 12 hours without cleaning or doing anything on the car. The rear side pulley got very dirty, and so the belt begins to fail.
We also where driving with diff and solid axle in the front. You see, a 5mm belt is an option we not need.

Hi Rene....I have a question..

When you are doing testing on new cars,in private,do you use other Mfg's cars as an indication of performance?...

and if so,how did the 710 compare to the latest brands?....

including the old standby's(tc3 and MTX-3).....

Sure we test also other cars to see the real performance.
But to be honest, we only test other cars with some knowing setup. We don’t work on other cars. To get a car to his limit you must learn to setup, and that takes much time. We tested many cars to get much information. Ok, the other cars had not the perfect setup, but it gives an injection how the car feels.
Saying it short : We are not scared of the others.

Hey Rene,
Can you tell us how thick the graphite rear shock tower is on the 710?
Since the rear shock tower double as the rear body post mount I would like to know.

Also do you think the 705 rear carbon body mount will work on the 710?
