st-rr axles keep poping out...
Hello to everyone,
i have this problem with my st-rr front axles keep poping out all the time.. i used shims behind the axle i have tried less negative camper but whatever i do the axles keep poping out. i can see the axle to come almost to the outside of the cup when i push the a arm to the top.. this problem started when i used cody king silver state setup where the front arms have more kick up.. the front bushings that are suited on the front tower are on the have the hole above..
if any one could give me any tip that woul be very helful thanks

where can i find them? which are the 3mm longer ones?
#4
my car has the lightweight ones which i think are the longer ones ...are there even longer ones?
#6
Are you talking about the center driveshafts or the CVD's?
#8
Yea then just do what Houston said. Get the ones that are 3mm longer or change your setup. ride height, hubs, etc.
What mm hubs are you using? I use 22mm and they work pretty dam good!

guys is there a way i can find the 3mm longer ones?

I had the same problem to a smaller degree. As Houston recommended, I put a 3mm plastic spacer on the shock shaft to limit the amount of uptravel, problem solved! It doesn't really effect the overall dampering or working of the shock, just at that critical end point which usually isn't reached very much anyway. As long as you have plenty of droop (about 116mm) you'll be fine.

Did you check the king pin bolt on the bottom? Had that happen to me and the bolt threads got striped out of the steering hub on the bottom side. Just gave it enough slop to let the dog bone pop out.

Which would you get for parking lot bashing? Does the Fusion have any problems later on? Which is more fun?
