What is the best % of Nitro Fuel and Oil % to Break in Engine and to continue using?
I use 30% nitro with 11% oil, which I raise to 12% by adding a shot-glass of natural castor oil to each gallon. The tiny amount of natural castor oil allows the fuel to build up a small amount of varnish inside the engine over time, just enough to improve lubricity and fill in microscopic scratches.

The big thing is to take apart the engine before using it, check for any burrs along the machined edges (especially the ports on the sleeve), and deburr them with a diamond jewelry file. Then wash the parts and reassemble with a bit of oil. That way the burrs don't have to be scraped off by the engine parts themselves during the break-in process. After the first tank of fuel, remove the heatsink and wipe the inside of the cylinder with a cotton swab to remove any bits of chrome that flaked off the edges of the ports but didn't get blown out the exhaust. Then reinstall the heatsink and resume break-in as normal.

This method has worked perfectly for me for most of the time I've been RCing. I haven't had to replace an engine due to wear-and-tear in years.

So you can not win from the experienced guys on this forum so now you gonna tell the rookies the same crap?

Most RTR fuels have 12 to 14% oil, more can give tuning issues so it is not advisable. But the question was about the nitro content.

Huh? lean is still lean and can cause detonation. Agree that a basher does not need 9% but if he/she knows how to tune then 9% will work perfect.

Too much oil will give resistance and resistance will be transferred to heat as well. More oil will give a different tuning but no wider or smaller window.

This is where I got my info from not out of the air like you. LO

Your engine is running toooo hot. Normal should be around 200 Degrees or less for .12-18 size engines. Mine run at 175-200 degrees. .21 at 225 degrees. All those years of running didn't add up to much!!!!!!!! It's the gallons that tell the story. 2 cases a summer for me. I guess you run quarts!!!!!!!! So stop giving bad advice!!!!!!!
Engine temps are not always as you say. First of all there are huge differences between IT temp meters but also their correction on plain aluminum or anodized aluminum can be far off. But to give you an example, my .21 engines run 150 degrees C (!!!) and I have a stock Kyosho .18 engine running 170 degrees C (!!!)

I think @mrreet2001 needs more popcorn....

He's not smart enough to argue with so I gave up. 175 degrees Fahrenheit isn't even hot enough to tune properly.

Please explain to me the location where 175 degrees is hot enough to tune a 12 nitro motor.

I don't make things up like you. I posted my actual results for my engines! I have well over 60 + running nitro engines!
