Same here. I think the stock axles are plenty strong enough. I agree the extended part of the front axle will help when fitting tires. But I'll stick to the stock axles for now.

Haven't had a chance to try the new option rear axles, cause I have plenty of old worn out or broken universals. But, what the hell, if you want to buy stuff go ahead. I had front axles when I replaced the dog bones with universals and used the axles on the universals when they broke or wore out. And I've bent a lot of rear axles, especially when a TC whacks my Mini in the butt.

Here in Australia we have a minimum weight limit of 1330g. Using them in the rear increases the weight and helps put more weight on the back wheels and there fore getting more heat into the rear tyres.. Also it helps taking out the slop with out adding shims...

I have only seen a few bent rear axles in over 10 years of mini racing. It does happen, but maybe only once every year or two.
Tobee Craft alloy rear axles will break if you even look at a board! well mine did.
The new tamiya reinforced rear axles have proven to be very strong so far, and for those who want a bit more rear stability they are +1mm offset per side.

Hi k_bojar, this is only her 5th race since her first race in Dec 2009. I also have a 4 year old son, maybe I should get him started

Fiat TC1000 Abarth M05 chassis finished!
I was working on this since several weeks ago. I built two bodies for the M02 chassis and M05. I added many details as real blinker lights, windshieldwipers, handle doors....etc.
