I always set my 10L up with some steering slop for on-road racing. Made it easier to drive!

For the steering rack, you can sand down the ends of the posts just a touch (like 1/64th) and that gets rid of much of the slop.
That's really the only slop that I didn't like.

Hey Art,
How do you like your 'taters?

The steering rack slop....
comes from both sets of bushings. You can shim the larger ones on the chassis, but it's the smaller ones on the rack that are too small. I tried to fit it by sanding down alittle plastic and adding shims, but there is still play. Get out your digital caliper and check it. Tolerances are bad. These are the things I would like to see AE fix. The T.F. version it has the same rack. I would think on a TEAM FACTORY AE would fix this problem.

Just wondering why it is that when AE changes a part, it doesn't announce it so that everyone can know that there is a better part available. For example, when changes were made to the diff cases, why wasn't there a little announcement on the AE website? I just wish we were all a little better informed as CUSTOMERS.
I love the TC4, but there are problems (steering knuckles, rack arms, etc.). That's OK; I know AE will fix them. I just want to know when the parts are revised so that I can upgrade my car.

Car seems to be carrying a lot better corner speed and not wearing out the foams as bad. I actually picked up an extra lap in three of my sessions last night, new best! Although now I have two more quick questions:
1) How far should the shocks extend when fully compressed? Mine are extending equally but they extend all the way out. I thought they were only supposed to extend out a little bit?
2) One-Ways; What's everyones thought on Foam/High-Bite Asphalt (Fairly tight track but Stock Motor) running a one-way? I've also heard you can just put the one-way bearing in the rear of the car to eliminate some of the classic issues with braking etc? Anyone ever heard of this?
Thanks Everyone!

Nitro Boy for the shocks it depends how much oil you are putting in them. I know when I did mine and did what the manual shows mine came out a little less than 1/2 but if I did put more oil in the cap and did everything else the same the shock whaft would come out alot farther since I had more oil in the shocks.
