Use the Exotek chassis, Tamiya shocks, Shumacher Thrust, and ceramic diff balls, and last but not least, black anodize it and you have a better car then the regular t3! Get a carbon top deck and your butter.
LOL thats what I was thinking! But it doesnt have adjustable turnbuckles either. And im sure theres other parts that are missing also that would be needed

Default I've not bought a xray since the 008.

I'm waiting for design features you see on the Tamiya 416X. Oh and when I can buy it in a "R" version. lol

Raaaaah finally!! Xray is (kind of) back from this ugly Orange color!
Congratulations Mr Hudy !

I think this T3R is the best thing to buy if you're still running an old T2008 for the past two years. Just make a best of the 2 kits and you can get the most gorgeous touring car ever !
All spare parts are mostly compatible, just get rid of the glass fiber decks and invest in the T3 graphite versions if you can afford, and it's perfect !

TCX or T3R+T2008+Carbon deck... hmm choice quite difficult.
And for sure, Xray will release another evolution for the T3 by the end of the year like every years... damned marketing sharks lol !!

We can just put Top rods and ends like we do anyway! I think this would be a good route for a lot of people to move into.

Default I loved my 008 and never felt I needed to update.

My guess is that the T3R will still cost $400-450. I'm looking forward to at least seeing their next design though. lol I think they are putting out the T3R because they plan to change serveral design features and need to move stock. I'll bet and what I've been waiting for is Xray's spin on the 416X.

Babow... $300us would be a better bet IMO. I really like the silver bulkheads and shocks. Would be worth it just as a parts car for $300. I really liked my 008 with the T2R shock towers and top deck fitted had a really nice flex.

Why is ever1 suggesting the price of T3R lower than a T3? Shouldn't the "R" version be more pro and more expensive? Pls advice which to get. Thanks!

All Xray "R" versions are lowbudget cars. Taken out expensive materials replaced for much cheaper "but still good" materials. Athough it is low budget, in the hands of good racers still fast laptimes can be made.

I hope it will be the same price as the T2R

I am Intending to try xray cars but I heard xray parts are expensive. Any idea what parts of "R" is different from e normal 1?

For the parts that might break (Xray cars are really durable) the parts are the same as the T3. That would be the arms, caster blocks, knuckles and hubs.

The turnbuckles, chassis, top deck, and shock towers appear to be the biggest differences.

According to the T3R exploded view, it seems that the differential is an old plastic version. Thurst bearing and diff plates are clearly not the same as the T2/T3 platform...
