Default YEAH!

Man I have been debating the Photon for a while, if this can beat it out in price though.. I may just have to go this way. X-ray definitely has their fit and finish heads and shoulders above the rest as far as I have seen. Now if they can get it to us before christmas

scratch that, I see on their site that they are already shipping to distributors!
Looks like I'm adding another X-ray to the stable.

I love xray but to me alot of there stuff just seem like gimmicks. That car looks like it is just basically a t3 with a few more things that they say "optimize" performance and the gold anodized pieces are gone. My 008 that I bought for 225 used in excellent condition runs with the best of them and will run a t3 and 009 down. The 008 and 009 were so close to being the same car u spent maybe 100 bucks in conversions u had a 009 so what was the point of spending 500 bucks for a kit just to say u did. If this is there 2011 car I feel as though they failed me I will do the photon this year and see what happens next year for xray.

Also not tearing xray down just expected more from them.

Looks like a plastic version of a T3 to me. Not a new competition model.

Ummmmm.................I think you're missing the point here. The T3R is not supposed to be a newer version of the T3. It is a more economical version of the T3 just like the T2R was the more economical version of the T2 platform. This has been covered before numerous times, but why X-Ray gets bashed for being the most innovative chassis builder in the industry is beyond me. Mr. Hudy seems to never be satisfied with the status quo so to speak and is always looking for a better way to do things. We need more people that are that driven in my opinion. Just my .02

Isn't the point of the 'R' models to be a more affordable version of the latest 'Pro' level models.

The chassis, top deck and towers are all made from fibre reinforced polymer or "FRP". Which is more flexible and lighter than the standard graphite.

What firmness of suspension parts does it come with?

Use the Exotek chassis, Tamiya shocks, Shumacher Thrust, and ceramic diff balls, and last but not least, black anodize it and you have a better car then the regular t3! Get a carbon top deck and your butter.
