Your car looked great in round two. Too bad about the main.
It was good in the first rounds. Freak thing will be resolved.

For the next round - probably stick to 17.5 and Mod. If the mod guys dont show then I will run 13.5.

Looking to unveil the late model oval car as well. Should keep me busy.

I got same problem on the dampers getting softer....they are also around 10 months old. 3 of them get softer problem and the car is observed shaking up and down when going thru a bumpy road. I replace 4 new dampers and now leaving the old dampers on my desk....waiting for any advice to repair them.

We have possibility to check old dampers and refill them at the absence of the external and internal damages. But you or our distributor should send your dampers to our Taiwan factory. Please contact me via PM.

When building my A700, I made sure to use lots of blue loctite, so no setscrew or other screws would come loose, even if it's not recommended...

Wouldn't it be better to mount the shorty back 1 position then all the way forward? Seems like it would be closer to balancing with the motor this way. There is still room for the battery tape.

I can't wait to get this car on the track. About a week away from my first race and track time with it. It looks like there will be close to 50 people in the USGT class I am running it in. I am going to have to add a brick of weight to this car for the 1450g minimum for that class! (I think I will have to add like 225g.) I may have to go standard lipos in the future because of this...

I can't even begin to tell you how impressed with this car and the drive train I am. It spins for 25+ seconds and I haven't even broke the car in yet!!!

I ran my car with the kit setup and it felt great out if the box. It was easy to drive on a carpet track that medium grip.

No they are stock. This spin was without that center shaft brace installed (AM11.) With that installed it takes off like 2 seconds. That is even after I took off the rubber seals trying to free the 2 bearings on up as much as I could. Before I did that it was a lot less of a spin. I may end up trying a carbon fiber shaft to eliminate the AM11 brace all together. Still waiting to hear how the test went for that...

people are never satisfied
i'd say this drive train is 2x more "free" than any belted car. it is kinda crazy. the car doesn't slow down in the same fashion as belted cars. they coast much more...

Thats what happens when you only get to gaze at the car on your pit bench at home and can't make it to a track and run it... Idle hands...

At least I should get some new parts in the mail tomorrow. That should keep me busy for a while putting in that setup.

For the guys that run blinky 17.5, do you guys run any drag brake as a result of the free-wheeling nature of the car and setup more for oversteer? Or do you guys use no drag brake and rely on tapping the brakes on most corners?

I personally like a lot of drag brake, even more so with the A700. I use some push brake too. Some people will tell you no drag brake and some people will tell you no push brake. It's all very subjective, and based on how you drive.

All I can say for certain is that the car rolls a lot more than a belt car. So it feels like it has -10% drag brake in comparison to a traditional sedan.
