hey Keith... i know that at Champ they list it at 16800 Yen, but their paypal fees and shipping are a little steep... Steve at Speedtech might be close to that price, as i know the price he shows on his site was estimated. i would expect around 30-40 in fees/shipping at Champ... might be faster, tho.

sorry.. forgot! i usually use a conversion, found at www.xe.com its an excellent currency converter.
but... for that 189, Steve would be better. seems like the 16800 would be around 150, + fees.

Keith, Speedtech should be getting them anytime. SpeedTech along with our track and I am sure a few others, were called about a supply of them.
Tamiya is really going out of their way on these kits to help the US retail shops against the offshore supply of them. Drop Steve an email and he should be able to get a date for you. I think we are supposed to have them in the next week or 2. We have 4 or 5 conversions already spoken for from our drivers.

Carpet
It Tamiya is serious about entering the carpet arena, then they shouldn't depend on Yokomo for a front diff and HPI for steering knuckles.
I use to own a 415 and the only reason for getting rid of it because no one supported it "north east", so IF they do it, then do it right

It appears that Tamiya is leaning towards carpet applications, they have catered to asphalt for a long time so maybe it's time to hit the east coast with carpet racing in mind. Tamiya parts and supply has been an issue back east for a long time but if LHS don't support the racers for parts then obviously you have to go with what is available. Not sure if their is anyone to blame, it's just the way it's been for quite some time now. Maybe this is the beginning of things to come for the east coast racers that run indoors!
Time will tell!
