Tamiya mini cooper
I use the MPower 4000mah Lipo's. They fit nicely. I have had no troubles with them so far.

yep ive got the Toyota AE86, works beautifully, the Porsche 911, and the Datsun 510. All fit on the M05 and M03, but the 911 wont fit on the M03 due to the steering servo. Toyota is definately the best handling so far, Porsche pretty close and Datsun not far off, a little tall so makes the car want to roll more. The 280 does look long. I saw it on a M04 once.

Rebuilding my M03
Ok it's been years, no really years, since I've touched my Mini and want to get it race ready again. I know new gears and bearings will be installed but I need new steering arms from the servo saver out. What's a good servo saver to use with the Mini? I need links too from the saver out to the steering knuckles. What do you suggest?
I run Kimbrough mid size KP201 and for turnbuckles I use 10 x 32 mm Titanium ones from Tamiya.
This should fit your mini also, and you will have no problemo with this set-up!
Hope this helps.

I would recommend getting the Tamiya alloy servo piece and the Tamiya high torque servo saver for the MO3. I have this fitted to my MO3 and it works a treat. Tamiya PNo's as per below.
54120 RC HT Servo Saver Alum Horn - M Chassis
51000 RC Hi-Torque Servo Saver - Black
The other alternate is to use a large Kimbrough servo saver and trim to prevent hitting the chassis at full lock. The other thing is by using a shorter servo saver you change the angle of your turnbuckles which will affect your steering. You can always use longer screws and spacers on your knuckles to make it standard again.
The Tamiya offering is far easier. The length of the turnbuckles will be dependant on which front knuckle you use. If using the Tamiya MO3R knuckle and outer hole, you will require long turnbuckles and for standard the usual shorter turn buckles.

Calvin.

Anyone find that the Xpress Mini rubber tires has a really soft sidewall? I'm using it on my front and rears right now, when they're new my car handles great but once the front wears a slight groove on the outside edge, my car traction rolls like mad. Recommend CA glue the edge of the front tire?
