Which brand makes the lowest engine mounting for the Evo?
If I lower my engine,do I need to get the Kawahara micro clutch?
you can use the clutch set and engine mount for FW05R but your clutch bell will get into the main chassis if you dont make clearence on the main chassis.

Manticore;

Is the hole spacing the same as the V1?

I tried the Mugen mounts, but the hole spacing was different and the flywheel was no longer centered in the chassis cutout.

There is another 1/8" to go lower if I can find the right mounts.

Thanks,

Wink

Hi Maticore, i wud like to use the FW05R engine mount on my EVO.
However, i'm using Mugen clutch(4D), and I understand that I need a smaller flywheel, do you know the diameter of the flywheel required & is there any brand out there that i can apply here? Thank.

Thanks,
I'm using NTC3 Non Pull Start engine mount. This is the lowest engine mount I can find. I need to trim the chassis (both the openings for the flywheel and engine mount screws) abit. The problem is that the side belt is rubbing the manifold, and the pipe is rubbing the ground when corning.....

Anyway, rear grip has been improved by using 35wt shock oil + stock springs(rear suspension), setting more rear droop, removing the rear sway bar, and setting front anti-roll bar to 90 degree.

Want to test this car again today...

P.S. I'm using HPI R40 flywheel, clutch weights, and clutch shoe. Others are Kyosho's.

Hey thats my setup for max rear grip!! LOL... took me a while to figure it out though

Topcad shocks work well with red springs. Sato Seiki 37 shore tyres with 26mm front and 28mm rear

Default low motor

the clutch fly wheel is 33mm and the engine mounts are 14mm...the kawaharra lite v-0ne mounts are the correct height....
