Why ? Did you tell "the Hitec Police" what I said ?

Note to all of the Hitec Nazi's out there: I must have spent at least an hour on the track trying to fine tune via subtrim and whatever else I could think of, in an attempt ot FIX a car that would drift to the left, then to the right, back'n forth, over'n over (definition of insanity verified then reverified yet again), and all the time it finally proved to be the F^$#*&!@ing Hitec servo!..........There, now I feel better.......

The flat mount servo mounts, 2 button head screws, 2 flat head screws and the plate (17420 or 17403) is all you need.

Wow! Another Hitec servo! What is WGT coming to?

Two (2) 4-40 x 1/4" flat head screws to attach mounts to chassis plate.

Two (2) 4-40 x 1/4" button head screws to attach servo to mounts; OR, can use flat head screws with the anodized aluminum countersunk washers to add a tad better support to the servos tabs and a cleaner look.

Hitec has made great strides in servo quality lately. I know they have two new servos in their line-up that are tailor made for pancar racing (the 225 is not one of them). Someone please test them and give us a report.......

First time with a pan, Raced off-road on and off for a while but started with an 18r and a touring car to get started on-road a couple weeks back. Looking for a general setup for my new CRC Pan to run on Carpet. I will start off with the setup on the CRC site. However have no clue about rollout and esc settings. It is a smaller track 150ft straight small tight infield.

The car has the 88 tooth spur.
LRP SXX Comp ESC
Everyone here runs the rear foams cut to 57mm, so the store owner cut mine the same, and CA'd the side walls front and rear.
1s Battery
10.5 motor

I am not sure of a recommended rollout, and LRP ESC settings for this, any guidance would be awesome. One local racer recommended a 37 tooth pinion to start, but not sure if that is based on the 88 tooth spur or the old 96 (Not sure what came originally) tooth.

Thanks,
Rob

i am going BACK to the original servo mount set up. i tried it for 3 days now and not having any luck with it. i race mostly on a smaller track and with the reverse set up its giving me way to much steering input at slower speeds and with on power steering.

i guess im an old dog that cant learn new tricks

Is you're Avatar a pic of Jacko ?

If so, that would explain too much steering..........

haha it kinda does look like jacko mate! (ops wrong accent)

just talked to Camou and he said my issue was with trying to eliminate the bump steer... and i need to live with it

I'll get some fresh cuts and try it again.... BUT so far im not liking it

and to explain my issue its not allowing my car to push when im exiting the corner for on throttle power. im not sure if its the servo weight loading the front or due to the different ackerman?

Rollout formula = tire (57) x pie (3.14) x pinion (37) / spur (88)
Use rollout as a base since it will depend on type of esc and motor brand.
