Barry Baker was racing with a Yokomo centax clutch in his NTC3, so i think this one would certainly be worthwhile considering.

I know that the 710 is able to configure the internals for small track vs large tracks. Let me know how it goes.
I've sent gearing out to local machinist friend, he considering the task now. They will probably be bronse. He's also thinking about changing the pitch to make it alittle easier to make if he changes the pitch then higher or lower ratios will be available. This will take alot of testing to make sure it works in the stock ratio first, then lower and higher.
Come on guys I need input!!! Not much on long tracks so what final drive would you guys like to see??? Bob

Let me get back to you on the final drive ratio on a big track that I would like to see. I will be out with a few old friends at the SWCS this weekend. I want to compare notes with the Kyosho and Serpent. I will let you know by late Monday. Thanks Bob.

Default BMI NTC3 Chassis

After tweaking my second AE chassis, I'm looking to get something a bit more sturdy. We race on a semi-bumpy parking lot, so the car does see some abuse. I'm hoping that the BMI will resist twisting, so I dont have to buy a new one every year. Any comments good/bad about the BMI?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Jimmy

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the BMI chasis. They work very well and it might be the last chasis that you purchase for the ntc3. I use the 4mm Integy chasis and has been great. It takes head on impacts, side impacts and much more with no problems. Plus it is so thick that the engine mount screws are inset so that they do not scrub off othe hex holes. No flex in 4mm. Just as good as the mugens, serpents and kyosho. Have fun with your choices. I got the chasis off of Ebay.

You can definitely run 30mm foams on the rear of a FT NTC3....never tried anything but 26mm on the front of mine.

BMI chassis is incredible - I have the very last Gen1 chassis made and sook is right - it's the last chassis I'll buy (unless I break down and get a new BMI chassis).

The best thing about it is that it is the strongest chassis available and takes all the flex out of the chassis. Hmm, sounds positive and it IS. It completely eliminates tweak and lets the suspension. . .suspense!

I've run a 30 minute race and banged my way through the entire thing (people just wouldn't LISTEN that I didn't want to race. . .just wanted to survive. . .) and put it on the tweak station right after - dead nuts on!

I was offered a new Barry Baker Ntc3 for 225.00. But he didn't tell me if was a team or factory team kit. Does associated make a Barry Baker team kit or just the factory team kit?

Who ever is selling you the kit probably thought that is what it was called. I am sure it is the same thing. Barry Baker is on the box of the factory team version and it has his signature next to his picture. Kit # should be 2033

About Boomer saying your tweak was dead on after banging around for a thirty minute race. How could that be totally accurate? The reason being you would think that would throw your camber and other things out of adjustment which inturn would throw the tweak off. Any car that "bangs around for 30 minutes is bound to have a few things out of wack. Sure your tweak may still be right but there has to be other things to make the car feel out of wack.
