Anyway, got it all hooked up and back together last night. It calibrated fine but shows error code of wrong motor type so I checked it and it is set to brushless then it lights up for normal opperation. When I hit the throtle the led's light up as they should but no power to motor so then I cut the power off at switch and try again and the whole things starts over with wrong motor selection. I had 3 guys at track (all vets who own or have owned Tekin) look at it and no one could figure it out.
That sucks...I would call tech. Good luck with that

it's ribbed, just the blur you see, photo was adjusted to snap only the object and not the surroundings.

The best part about those speed controlers is some of them perform just as well as the more "high end" electronics for a fraction of the price

Anyone see the 1/10 sensorless brushless system from orion that looks like a ezrun esc with orion stickers on it?
I run LRP x12L 550's or x12 540's. 550 for a large open track and 540 for a smaller, tighter track.

What motor size works better for a small technical jump and a bigger track that is less technical? 540 or 550?

A 550 will get you around any kind of track. If you go with a 540 it will suffer and not perform as well as a 550 on a bigger track.

What you described sounds like it may be a bad sensor circuit. If the speedo has a sensorless mode, try that if you haven't already. Might at least get you going until you get a new speedo.

Either the LRP SXX TC Spec or the HW will both work with that motor. Actually running a V1 TC Spec right in my Sc10 4x4 and it's been great with both SC4X 6.5 and 4.5 motors. Have been running HW/SP in other crs for almost a year, very happy with it. Like Sym, I prefer the SP software, and it's also easier to find setups for. If you can find the HW/SP 120 amp 2.0 Pro, that's the best speedo for 4wd SC. Lower turn limit than the 2.1, but may be hard to find.

I have a chassis brace and I know that it is used to help with flex and belt slack. But once I install the brace should I loosen the tension on the belt?

I left mine where it was before I installed the brace, have not had a problem. I do plan on probably loosening it some though...try to remove some drag. Just afraid to loosen up a hard used belt. I'm still on the same belt that I started on a couple months ago. It's got a lot of laps on it.
