The Losi has no mods really, just needed stronger metal or replacement parts. If Losi decides to use better metal, nothing changes.
This AE requires mods to be somewhat competitive (ahem, modifications). Changes to the vehicle to make it perform better and I think you try to peddle some, hmmmm.

AE has the most championships but they have Always had the best drivers. Very smart! It is the driver. The Ryan's could beat us with coyote's New Brite
Sad but true.

My 8.2 can win out of the box. No "mods" required and the only "personalization" is with my paint.

With any forum, I troll to learn and educate. You seem to "troll" to make a profit but kudos to you. I really applaud that but I see how you and others take offense and it hurts your biz. I apologize for that.

I will bow out now an let you flame me some more but like I said, time is on my side with this truck..

ROFL!!! is that your best? im not even going to bother with a response other than this HAHAHA i hope you were typing what your 8yr old was saying, if not, get back on the short bus and depart from this thread

The way I see it and I'm sure 90perc. of the posters on this thread will agree that you are the troll and def. not Mantis and those others who have actually contributed not only with mods, but other very useful information as well.......

As far as the Losi only need better metal, then you def. have not learned enough about either the AE or Losi to give any opinion what so ever on either 4x4........ Seriously get out of this thread unless you can get your foot out your mouth and actually contribute something to it other then your useless and to be honest stupid and worthless responses.........

Then half way though the main, my pionon gear started slipping on the shaft and took me out of the race. I think the problem was that I switch from 15/62 to 14/62 after the first practice and the loctite hadn't set prior to running it again and it eventully back it's way out. Probably due to me having the slipper too tight and "punch" set to high.
Thanks alot Miz. I'm stoked I could help even a-bit. That makes taking the time to show you guys all worth while.

I've tried to fix carbon landing gear before using epoxy but they always snapped off, but would get me though one landing or so (better to crash land than to not fly in my opinion) not worth undoing what you've already got as it's not really a problem if it breaks, but might be good to add a zip tie around the belt gard so if it does break the sticks won't come out and act like pole vault
hadn't thought of that, same end result though, cause i still would have had to epoxy it in. i drilled it out (just the carbon part) and stuck the end of the rod in. the epoxy is just to hold it in place and strengthen it. i used golf club epoxy, which is used to fix club heads to graphite shafts. the cure time is 18 hours, and it is not brittle, actually somewhat soft compared to hobby epoxies, made for standing up to shock. i have had some pretty severe wrecks that def tested this thing and it hasn't budged. if i knew exactly what i was ordering, and that it would be the right size, i would have gotten the ends and raw tube, but there isn't anywhere around me that keeps that stuff in stock

btw, i got mtk's clutch basket, and it works great. to my door in FL within 4 days. i don't have the skills/equipment to mill something like that, or would have attempted it myself. enjoying playing with different pad combinations, makes the slipper useable, just as everyone has said

Hell yeah. I'm on the track trying to clear ridges and doing back flips all the time. Slashes are getting put on the bench before I am. I'm nearly on my second stock body and I have only bent CVA's (an anvil and a hammer and they're straight once more). This thing is the "bashest" (if I can make up a word) AE Rig i've ever owned.

Edit: Oh. and lost Mudflaps... God dammit. -_______-

Lol! I made that post about the chassis back in early September...I'm sure exotek was testing prototypes back then, but I had no idea. It sure is pretty!

I would like to add that the RC8.2 is a Factory Team kit. There is no SC10 4x4 Factory Team kit yet. I am hopeful that the AE Team drivers, all of them, will include all the critical mods that we are all developing in the FT edition once they come out. I would certainly expect that the FT SC10 4x4 would release with; Sway bars, aluminum hexs, FT Shocks, a new AE slipper, and a battery package option for saddles. I would expect that the AE guys would also improve the chassis stiffness with a brace or something.

I think I am getting Bohdi now. He wants to see a kit that can win without mods like the RC8.2 can. Until the FT edition is released we will not have that so mods are required. I have not been around the hobby too long but what I have seen from AE is that they release a kit and then after they have worked through the fine tuning with the extended team drivers they release a FT version with most of the changes. Heck, the RC8.2 kit was a tweek of the already decent RC8B Factory Team kit.

I have faith in the AE team and love my SC10 4x4 already with mods for now.

Need some help guys, my shocks leak out of the bleed hole (Not the hole with the screw in it) It is only my 2 front shocks. It is so bad that after one run there is a ton of dirt on the shock cap since the oil is leaking out. Is it the bladders that is the promblem? Should I buy different bladders?
